What Is The Best E-Liquid To Use With Your T20S Prism Coil:

  • 0.8 ohm - The sub-ohm version is one of the most efficient vapour producers we've tested. With almost all sub-ohm coils, go for a high VG, low nicotine strength liquid to get the most out of it. We recommend the new Cornelius Clouds 70VG/30PG range. Quality coil.

  • 1.5 ohm - With the higher resistance mouth-to-lung (MTL) version, we highly recommend using a 50VG/50PG ratio vape liquid, especially when vaping higher nicotine levels. Shoreditch 50/50 e-juices worked really well with our test T20s Vape Kit

When To Change Your Prism-S Coil:

Most coils tend to last 1-2 weeks, and the coils in our Prism T20S tank performed very well in our tests. The lifespan of your coil will always vary according to the liquid you are vaping, how frequently you use it, and how well you maintain your tank. When it is time to change your coil, you will start to notice lower flavour production, and sometimes even a slightly burnt taste. This is completely normal, though it is definitely time to change the coil when this happens!

Any experienced vaper will tell you how important it is to change your coil frequently and properly. Vape coils come in endless shapes, sizes and variations, however they all have one job: rapidly heating to very high temperatures on demand, and vapourising your e-juice. Naturally, this is an intense process and your coil will pick up some residue from doing so over time (as well as any dust or particulates that were also in your pocket, bag, car and everywhere else you keep your vape pen). To ensure that your vaping experience is as smooth and flavour-filled as possible, it’s important to change your vape coils regularly.

How to Change Your Prism-S Coil:

  1. Gather Your Materials
Before you get started, make sure you have everything you need nearby. We've all been caught out carrying the dripping tank parts or old coil through the house to the nearest bin. You'll need a dry cloth (kitchen paper works well) e-liquid, and of course your replacement coil. It's also good practice to wash your tank every 2-3 coil changes, in which case you'll also need a sink.

  2. Remove the Tank
Remove the whole prism tank from the battery body by firmly turning the base of the tank anti-clockwise.

  3. Remove the Old Coil and Liquid
Hold your tank upside down so you can see the connector pin, then unscrew the base from the outer tank body. Holding the tank upside-down will minimise unwanted spillages and mess. Pull the old coil gently out of the housing and put it to one side.

  4. Clean Tank
Cleaning the tank regularly is important with standard coils, and essential for sub-ohm coils. If it's time to clean, thoroughly run all pieces of your tank under warm water for 10-20 seconds. Too hot and you'll burn your hands. Too cold and it won't completely clean the parts. Dry each part with kitchen paper or micro-fiber cloth (a hand dryer or hair dryer does wonders by the way)

  5. Insert New Coil
Now that your old coil is out of there, slot your new coil into the tank. Make sure it is correctly in place before attempting to reattach the base of the tank!

  6. Prepare New Coil
Now that your tank is back together, you can fill it up with your chosen e-liquid. Once refilled, it is essential to let the new coil absorb the juice (prime coils). If not, you will be quickly heading back to step 3. Screw your freshly filled tank back onto its battery body, stand the whole thing upright, and leave it for a few minutes. Have a cuppa.

  7. Go Easy!
Now the coil has absorbed enough juice, it is primed and ready to use. To get the most from your new coil, take the first few vapes lightly. This will ease your new coil up to its operating temperature gradually, and you'll get the most lifespan from your coils.
